Historic Recognition and National Honors

The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award represents one of the nation’s highest civilian honors for volunteer service. Almony’s receipt of the award marks a historic first for the personal protection profession. The recognition was presented in connection with the 3rd Annual Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awards ceremony held at Hotel ZaZa in Houston, Texas, on December 4, 2022, hosted by Dr. Sonia R. White, Certified Presenter and USAF Veteran.

In addition to the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, Almony has been honored with the NAACP Community Service Award (2021), along with proclamations and citations from governors, mayors, state senators, and other public officials. His professional presence has helped prevent numerous accidents, fatalities, and high-risk incidents.

Endorsement by Dr. Khalilah Camacho Ali

Almony is endorsed by Dr. Khalilah Camacho Ali, former wife of Muhammad Ali, who has publicly stated that she trusts him completely, feels safe with him, and considers him family. She has described him as the greatest bodyguard ever and has praised his character, compassion, and devotion to children and communities in need. She has compared being protected by Bubba to the level of care afforded to a President of the United States. Almony serves as her personal bodyguard.

He also arranges, coordinates, and sponsors Dr. Khalilah Ali’s visits to schools, police departments, and first responder agencies across Maryland, including OCPD, OCBP, Ocean City 911, Worcester County 911, Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, Salisbury Fire Department Station 2, Salisbury Police Department, and MSP Trooper 4, providing mentorship, education, and inspiration for youth.

Youth Advocacy and Life-Saving Work

Almony has personally impacted thousands of children and youth through speeches, community givebacks, mentorship programs, and large-scale events. For seven consecutive years, he has hosted the Annual Bodyguard Giveback, during which youth who have experienced bullying, abuse, or neglect receive full professional bodyguard services, luxury transportation, and supervised law enforcement light and siren motorcades. The United States Secret Service attended his fourth annual Bodyguard Giveback in Ocean City, MD, along with retired NYPD and retired FBI members who honorably served at 9/11, reflecting the national significance of the event.

Through Bubba’s Celebrity Basketball Game, youth experience a transformative day that fosters empathy, leadership, and self-reflection. The event has hosted national figures and celebrities such as Dr. Khalilah Ali, Terrell Owens, Muhammad Ali Jr., Drumma Boy Fresh, Officer Tommy Norman, and the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters, creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences for youth and raising awareness for bullying prevention and mental health.

A young man in 2021 shared: “I never thought I’d be at an event like this because I was once a bully, but the event gave me a change of heart.”

A young lady who had faced life-threatening bullying said after a Bodyguard Giveback: “Good morning Bubba! I don’t even know where to start in saying thank you. I appreciate you, and all the other bodyguards and officers more than I can put into words. I don’t remember the last time I felt so safe and honored.”
