Snoop Dogg Celebrates 4/20 With Surreal New Track “Last Dance With Mary Jane”

Snoop Dogg has once again proven he’s the king of 4/20. The rap legend dropped a mind-bending new music video titled “Last Dance With Mary Jane”, a hazy tribute to his lifelong love of marijuana — and it landed right on the unofficial stoner holiday.

The track, featuring a bold guest spot from Jelly Roll and production by none other than Dr. Dre, pulls inspiration from the late Tom Petty’s iconic hit Mary Jane’s Last Dance. The video takes things a step further, including a digital nod to Petty himself, as well as visual cameos from Tupac Shakur, Bob Marley, and a few other familiar faces from music history.

One Last Ride With Mary Jane?

Directed by Dave Meyers, the video kicks off with Snoop receiving bad news from a doctor, setting the stage for what’s supposed to be his final farewell to cannabis. But as the track rolls on, it’s clear that Mary Jane is more than a habit — she’s a part of who he is.

“Don’t bother asking me to ever give my lady up / Was about five years old taking my first puff,” Snoop raps over a dreamy beat, blending nostalgia with signature West Coast cool.

The chorus echoes a bittersweet tone:

“It’s my last dance with Mary Jane, one more time to kill the pain.”
